Robert over 17 years of experience in the public accounting field.
He has a wide range of experience with an emphasis in tax planning.
Currently, Robert is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Board of Directors for Children’s Dental Health Association (CDHA) in San Diego. CDHA operates an outreach program to educate and screen children in schools in low-income areas and operates a dental clinic in the Golden Hill area of San Diego for the children of low-income families. He currently serves on the board of Mountain Shadows Community Homes, a 117 bed facility for the developmentally disabled located in Escondido. He also served two terms on the Pacific Beach Planning Committee. During his term the community adopted a master plan and made many improvements to the community with the cooperation of the San Diego City Council and the residents of the community.
Robert has many years of lecture experience as mentor to college students majoring in accounting and business, as a professional to other accountants, and as an advisor to high net worth individuals and physicians. He published a quarterly newsletter, The Examiner, which was mailed to a select group of San Diego County physicians to update them on changing tax laws and other financial opportunities. His current newsletter “The Chak Tax Beat” is available on this website.
Graduating with a degree in accounting from Shippensburg University
in Pennsylvania, Robert attained part of his education through the
extended studies program at San Diego State University. Shippensburg
University’s business program is well known in Pennsylvania and
is accredited by the Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed to practice
in the state of California through the State Board of Accountancy.
